"Help, I need somebody"
I might be going to Liverpool and Manchester for a few days in a first half of December.
Could anybody help with recommending good accomodation option? Budget friendly hotels, hostels, bed and breakfast places, anything taken under consideration provided good or relatively good location. Any suggestions and your experiences shared much appreciated. Thanks.
I've been to Liverpool three times. Twice I stayed at a Premier Inn, once the Albert Dock location and once at the Hanover St location. The Albert Dock location is nicer, but of course costs more. Both had good to great rates if you prepay, depending on day of the week. The breakfast wasn't included but their restaurant had really good breakfasts at reasonable costs.
I can recommend the Nadler Hotel in Liverpool. Not really budget but if you book now you might find something cheap.
I stayed at the Hard Day's Night Hotel in Liverpool and absolutely loved it--great location and great service, but it may be out of your budget range. A friend once stayed at the Aachen Guest House on Mount Pleasant, near the Catholic cathedral, and said it was a good budget option.
We also stayed at the Aachen, but that was way back during our 2000 trip. It was fine, but that was a long time ago.
