Arriving around 9pm from New York on a Friday night. Family of four with two checked bags and 2 carry ons. Can anyone recommend a car service for the airport transfer ? Also, what type of time should we account for between landing, baggage claim and immigration before we would leave terminal to meet the car? Thanks in advance.

Get a London black taxi. No better way to travel in London. Plentiful outside the baggage carousel area.

By using a black taxi you will probably pay twice as much as a car service.
When you book the car service, you give them your arrival information. They monitor the flight and will meet you as you exit customs. They then walk you to the car. It's a fixed price that you will know when you book. They will also ask about luggage so they know what type of car you will need.
