We are planning our first trip to England and Scotland in September and are looking for Airbnb recommendations in London, York and Edinburgh.

For London, we like to stay in Chelsea and Kensington. We have London Perfect for our rentals.

I have not used Airbnb in London, but we've had a very good experience with Ivy Lettings. We stayed in the Chelsea/Sloane Square area and it was perfect. London is so spread out that there isn't really a "best" neighborhood - I usually advise looking at a tube map relative to what you want to see and do, and making sure connections are good from your home base.

StaysYork has a number of lovely apartments they advertise on Airbnb. I think they’re reasonably priced. I like to stay at one directly across from Yorkminster - it’s on the fourth floor of a building so there are a lot of stairs, but the view (and the quiet) is so worth it!
