We have an extended stay coming up and are looking for an option that may be a bit less $$$ but still have access to transportation. TIA
First timers?
When you say extended stay what is the time frame?
Same with $$$’s. What does that equate to?
Have some suggestions but your providing a bit more intel would be helpful.
Here's another thread that asks essentially the same question. You may want to check that and see if there are any responses that work for you.

the train whilst more expensive will allow you in the same amount of time to be considerably further out
Nigel, yes that is what I am thinking, bit I do not know the area so can you recommned a place or places? Thanks
Hi Claudia,
Not first timers, but may as well be. Was there in 86. Extended stay- two weeks. Airbnbs in Bayswater/Earls Ct as receommnded on a earlier thread at 300-400 night. Would like to spend 250-300 tops. As long as I am near transportation, preferable the Tube, I would be good. Thanks
I will gave you the same warning that I gave on the other thread.
Be very careful with using AirBnB in London. Many can be economical with the truth on location and a number are illegal lets.
Boy, this is like pulling teeth! We need more information to give you better assistance.
You've finally told us 2 weeks at 300 "tops"
Is that £250-350 or something other currency?
How many adults? Any kids? What are their ages? Do you need more than 1 bedroom?
"an extended stay coming up"
Approximately when are you traveling? That can make a huge difference in price.
Help us help you.
Try one of the Premier Inns around Hammersmith or Shepherd Bush. A lot cheaper than those more central locations but easy to get into the centre.
I'm in one of the Hammersmith hotels in three weeks and got it for £85/night.
Bayswater and Earl’s Court neighborhoods are fine.
In Bayswater you can access 2 underground stations; Bayswater and Queensway. Also get busses. As far as food plenty of options on Queensway
Earl’s Court neighborhood is also fine. At the Earl’s Court tube station you can access the Circle Line, Piccadilly Line and the District Line. Busses as well.
If I had the choice I’d go with Earl’s Court.
I presume you mean $300 per night, right? because if not, well that is...tough.
I have stopped staying at AirBNBs because they are bad for the local housing market. I know they make sense with a family or group if you need multiple rooms, but I just can't recommend them any longer. If you are set on that, I did rent a few in the Fulham Broadway area which I quite enjoyed. It is on the District line and only two stops to Earls Court (if I remember right) to connect to Piccadilly Line.
