Agatha Christie: A World of Mystery Exhibition at British Library

Agatha Christie fans: Opens October 30, 2026 - June 20, 2027.

I have bought my ticket for my April 2027 visit.

When you go to the website, be sure to note all the activities and events surrounding the exhibition. There are lectures and panel discussions galore about her top mysteries and notes and artifacts. I wish I lived in London, there are several events I would attend, especially in Nov. and Dec.

While in England, head over to Wallingford to see her house and grave. We had a rental car so have no idea how easy it would be to get there by bus.

If you are a fan I also definitely recommend a visit to her home, Greenway, in Devon! It’s a time capsule as she left it and it was also the setting of the book Dead Man’s Folly as well as the filming location of that particular episode of Poirot.

Cat VH,
My friend and I are staying in Torquay for 3 days when we first arrive in London and hope to visit Greenway. We plan to visit in early April as Greenway is open to visitors from 14 February to 1 November.

Getting to Wallingford is easy-
Train to Reading, double decker bus X40 from straight outside bound for Oxford every 20 minutes- 50 minute ride from Reading, 45 minute ride from Oxford.

Or train to Henley on Thames, bus 33 hourly, 45 minute ride. The bus continues to Didcot Parkway Station (25 minute ride away)

Her grave is at Cholsey- which is one of the stations on the Paddington to Oxford stopping train route. Bus 136 links Wallingford and Cholsey every 30 minutes.

PS there is also a preserved steam railway on certain dates between Cholsey and Wallingford- https://www.cholsey-wallingford-railway.com/
