Good Day
I have been researching places to get the traditional afternoon tea, such as the Ritz, but not trying to break the bank to do it. I was wondering if you all might have some suggestions for for a more moderately priced tea.
Thank you

My husband and I went to tea at the British Museum several years ago and it was very nice. It was in the courtyard restaurant.
Orange Pekoe in Barnes. The British Library does an afternoon tea.
My husband and I are looking forward to afternoon tea at The Wolseley. It's about half the price of tea at the Ritz. On our last visit we enjoyed tea at The Orangery at Kensington Palace. I see that afternoon tea there is currently a little more expensive than The Wolseley, but still much less expensive than the Ritz.
I have done afternoon tea at both Fortnum & Mason and The Orangery. I liked The Orangery slightly better, so I would recommend looking into that one.
Claridge's looks classic and quintessential, yet not too obnoxiously expensive. I am planning to go there and to the Lanesborough when I visit in August.
I booked at the Carlton Tower Jumeirah after reading that the pastry chef there was the first woman to win the best pastry chef in the world award.
check the forum, this has come up before. There are many options, including possibly a kid-oriented one at the Chesterfield in Mayfair (but check that).
also check on Youtube, this is a pretty popular topic. For instance Hannah Ricketts has been to several teas, most recently the Ritz.
The Wallace Collection (a free museum worth visiting) offers afternoon tea that is reasonably priced.

Melissa, does The Orangery have all you can eat Afternoon Tea? Fortnum and Mason does and their Afternoon Tea was exquisite. Worth every penny.
I enjoyed my Afternoon Tea at Fortnum & Mason's location in the Royal Exchange right by the Bank Tube Station. A beautiful location in a huge indoor courtyard and didn't break the bank.
Richoux is also very nice and has several locations.
There was a recent post here on the forum with a lot of suggestions for afternoon tea - you might want to check that out:
