Has any one booked afternoon tea in this website? It seems that there are a couple of choices and price seems reasonable. Some of it even have offers. Thanks.
Well it seems to be run out of a house on a residential street in Northampton, about 70 miles north of London. Doesn't say that anywhere on the webpage.
That may be good, or it could be bad. It certainly is a fact.
It looks to me like a marketing scheme designed to find people looking for tea on the internet. I do note their disclaimer which allows them to change anything about anything, including price and location, at any time with no come-back.
If you look around on this Helpline you will find all sorts of discussion about afternoon tea with plenty of suggestions of peoples' favourites.
Thanks Nigel. I think it is a hit and miss. I think I better not and just go with those places that had been suggested here .
When I saw your header, I thought it was about Skypeing afternoon tea from home -- which would eliminate a lot of the travel time.
Never mind.
Their latest monthly newsletter is issue #19, so they've been going for at least 1-1/2 years. If you book, the fine print says the contract is with the venue, not them, and that it is valid when you get a confirmation from the venue. It seems that you don't have to give a payment guarantee unless you're booking for a large group. What's to lose?
Anyway, it's a nice resource for anyone going to the UK, so Thank You, Sally for asking. Though I think I gained 2 pounds just looking at the photos.
I did too Chani but even more pounds.
