Afternoon Tea in London

Hello, I am looking for recommendations for an Afternoon Tea experience in London this week,
May21, 2025 to May 28, 2028. A $$$$ Ritz Palm Court is not what I had in mind. More likely, a lovely memorable $$-$$$ experience, in a welcoming beautiful venue is the cultural take-away I would enjoy.
Thank you,

Fortnum and Mason is lovely. They will also accommodate dietary restrictions. I had a very good gluten free tea service there in 2018, and my husband had the regular one. We could ask for more of anything they served. Very nice experience.

Hi, had afternoon tea earlier this month at the Park Room Grosvenor House near Marble Arch. I asked for a window table when booking for our group. Lovely tea, elegant atmosphere, smart casual dress code, live piano, and helpful staff. Nice experience!

I had a wonderful Afternoon Tea at Fortum and Mason. Highly recommend.

I did a Wicked (the Musical) themed afternoon tea at The Clermont Victoria hotel last year, and really enjoyed it. The Clarmont Victoria also has a regular afternoon tea, but is located a short distance from the West End theatre that hosts Wicked (hence the theme). Both the Wicked and the regular afternoon tea are 40GBP. I was there mid-afternoon on a Friday in May, and there were only a couple of other tables full. A decent selection of teas from what I recall, and the food was excellent.

Thanks for all the afternoon tea recommendations. My husband and I will travel to London in early September (my first visit) and I definitely want to experience afternoon tea.

Here's my question: is sharing permitted? When looking at these menus, the amount of food seems overwhelming for one person. I wonder if it is OK to order one full tea with all the goodies, plus one pot of tea.

Alternatively, some of the restaurants (including the Cellarium at Westminster Abbey) offer something called Cream Tea, (served with tea and two scones) as well as the full tea menu. I would like to order one full tea and one cream tea to share between us. Would that be frowned upon?
