Hello, I am looking for recommendations for an Afternoon Tea experience in London this week,
May21, 2025 to May 28, 2028. A $$$$ Ritz Palm Court is not what I had in mind. More likely, a lovely memorable $$-$$$ experience, in a welcoming beautiful venue is the cultural take-away I would enjoy.
Thank you,
Fortnum and Mason is lovely. They will also accommodate dietary restrictions. I had a very good gluten free tea service there in 2018, and my husband had the regular one. We could ask for more of anything they served. Very nice experience.
The tea bus has some availability:

The Wolseley is always a good option. Not too terribly pricey (£46.50 pp) and there's no need to dress up. Another good option is Fortnum and Mason's afternoon tea at the Royal Exchange (£38 pp).
I would strongly suggest booking a table at least 1-2 days ahead of time.

Hi, had afternoon tea earlier this month at the Park Room Grosvenor House near Marble Arch. I asked for a window table when booking for our group. Lovely tea, elegant atmosphere, smart casual dress code, live piano, and helpful staff. Nice experience!
The Orangerie at Kensington Palace.
I had a wonderful Afternoon Tea at Fortum and Mason. Highly recommend.
The Wolseley has great afternoon tea,
