Is anyone familiar with the Masons Arms pub/inn in York? We're looking to stay there on our trip in September 2023. Any info good/not so good is appreciated. Also we are looking to stay one night at the Premier Inn at London St Pancras as well. Are there other accommodations around the St Pancras/Kings Cross stations area that you all would recommend? Looking to spend not more than 150 pounds or so a night. Thanks again for any info you can provide.
We stayed in the Premier Inn at St Pancreas the night before our flight home as it was convenient coming from the Eurostar. I have nothing bad to say about it. It was functional, they had bath gel instead of soap in the shower but other than that our room was fine. There's a few pubs around the area, and a shopping center with a Waitrose grocery store close by.
When we went to York back in 2013 we stayed at Abbey Guest House. It's easy accessed from the York Train station and along the River Ouse. It was peaceful and they were so friendly there! Lovely to walk into York but stay away from some of the action. Just a suggestion. Good luck with your planning!
Thank you for the info!
I've stayed at the Premier Inn St. Pancras a couple of times. It's a busy hotel but once in your room you won't notice. It's very quiet, clean and comfortable. Plenty of places to eat nearby.
