Advance tickets for London Eye, etc.

This time of year, late October, would advance tickets be needed for the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, and the British Museum?

When are you traveling?

Always good to check the Abbey website to be certain it will be open to the public on your travel dates. I’d definitely pre book but that’s me. Earliest morning option.

IMHO No need to prebook the Eye nor British museum. Just realize the museum is nearly always crowded.

I’ve ridden the Eye once, sunset in the month of November. Walked right on. Still a favorite photo of Parliament and the Thames.

London is a very popular tourist destination. After the worldwide Covid lockdowns people are traveling again.

Its a great city to experience and explore.

I would say that you should actively not book the Eye. The last thing you want is having booked it and it's raining and/or misty at your time.

Late October is when the school half-term break is and some museums can be very busy. Last October, I went to the Natural History Museum planning to queue to get in (as I always had pre-pandemic) only to learn that all the slots available for the day had already been booked online and they were not admitting anyone who did not have an online booking. Things have changed post-pandemic; if a museum allows booking and you know when you want to visit, I would do that.

Take a look at the British Museum and Westminster Abbey sites to see how many slots are left. You could probably just book a day ahead.

I agree that you should wait until you know what the weather is like before booking the Eye.

Looking at the British Museum website for tomorrow (Sunday), except for the first 3 time slots, there is lots of availability.

Likewise for Westminster Abbey on Monday- no time slot is booked up-loads of availability.
