We'll be in Cornwall in May and would appreciate recommendations for accommodations in Penzance and Falmouth. We prefer bed-and-breakfasts but welcome hotel suggestions too. We're traveling without a car so places that aren't too distant from rail stations are best (we can walk reasonable distances, or can bus or taxi). Thank you!
Two really nice B&Bs (or small hotels) I have stayed in.
The Lerryn in Falmouth: I’ve stayed there three times. Nice stylish rooms (with capsule coffee machines), good cooked to order breakfast. Kind of a family-run small hotel. Great location - a couple of blocks from the beach but also walkable to town and very close to Falmouth Town rail station.

In Penzance, Warwick House is a very comfortable B&B right by the Jubilee Pool and the sea, a short walk (about half a mile) from the train station. It’s a small family-run B&B - you have to order breakfast the night before and they cook to order. Extremely friendly.
We stayed here for a week in 2020 and had a lovely time: https://torwoodhousehotel.co.uk/
It's a short walk from Penzance station. Very nice B&B with a friendly proprietress who would chat with us at breakfast. And it's dog friendly!
Thank you both for the suggestions! We have booked accommodations in both cities.
