Accommodations in Langley near the west Elizabeth Line

I’d like recommendations for places to stay along the west Elizabeth line for easy day trips into London. One person traveling. Prefer <$100 per night.

Thanks

If that is US dollars (not Canadian or elsewhere) you want to spend less than £79. Probably the same procedure you used in 2019 in Bedford. But do expect prices to be considerably higher than in 2019 as we are in a cost of living crisis here.

And the area of Heathrow and Slough will be considerably more than the area around Bedford. Good luck

Always look at Premier Inn and Travelodge first for good prices and reliable quality. Also factor in that Langley is outside the London travel zones. It will cost a lot to travel into London every day. About £17 if you go off peak. If you want to leave earlier (before 9) it will be significantly more.

I’d look for somewhere closer to London but still relatively cheap. Eg Hayes, Ealing. Just have a look at the Elizabeth line map and see what you can find. Less than $100 is just about possible. I’ve paid £73 for the Premier Inn Canary Wharf recently. Will travel in on the Elizabeth Line.

is your event this time in Langley, or did you pick that as a station on the Elizabeth Line outside the M25?

If you find somewhere in the Langley/Slough area there are various ways to reduce the travel costs. The London bus route #81 takes you to Hounslow West Tube Station for £1.75 each way then a normal Zone 1 to 6 tube fare. Red London buses even when they travel outside the Zone 1 to 6 or Zone 1 to 9 boundaries have the same flat fare.
Another way is to use the Reading Buses (formerly Green Line) routes #702 Windsor to London or #703 Windsor to Heathrow Terminal 5 (for a train to London).
Until the end of October both these routes are covered by the £2 fare cap, then £2.50 for a further year. Yes £2 for Slough/Langley to London, and it is far faster than many people realise.
There is also local bus route #3 every 30 minutes to Uxbridge Station (25 minute journey) for the Tube to London (again £2 flat fare) and #4 (same frequency and journey time) to Heathrow Central Bus Station for the tube to London.

Sample dates actually show that of the Premier Inns in the area Heathrow T4 is consistently the cheapest, cheaper even than Slough.

The answer is that there are Travelodges in central Slough, in Langley and in central Windsor. The one in Langley is close to the M4 junction but the various buses mentioned- 702, 703, 4 and 81 all stop almost outside. Langley does have an attached Toby carvery.
For sample dates in October even the Windsor Central one comes comfortably within budget, which may be a bit of a surprise.
For the same sample dates on booking.com there is the AJ Lodge at Slough (4 star on TA) for £70 per night and the Copthorne at Slough for £80 a night.
And others.
So a booking.com search coupled with Trip Advisor checks may help if a Travelodge doesn't suit.

Thanks for the info. I’ll take a look at towns closer to London and see what I find. Frank
