Looking for recommendations for a tour of Abbey Road Studios and Abbey Road.

Abbey Road is a working studio so unless you're recording there you can't go inside.

Abbey Road is, well it's a road, you can just take a bus or walk there. https://www.abbeyroad.com/crossing (scroll down the page to see the live webcam).

Look out for Macca, he lives nearby

Beware that there is a transit stop called Abbey Road that is NOWHERE near the studios. I guess it's just further proof of that wry British wit.

When we went there, we took the tube to the St. John’s Wood tube stop. It’s a few blocks from the studio. The intersection seen on the album cover is a heavy traffic area much of the time, so be careful and look both ways, then look again, before stepping into it.

There used to be a live 24/7 webcam that was aimed at that famous zebra crossing, I wouldn't think it would be interesting for more than a few minutes.

I was inside the studios some 30 years ago, wish I had taken a ton of pictures (but back then, cameras were big and you had to be mindful of processing costs).

If this is really something on your bucket list, you might try scanning through the lists of best travel agents at the websites for Travel & Leisure and Conde Nast Traveler. This is the kind of thing that only a well-connected concierge or travel agent could pull off, but it's not impossible.

The road crossing is just that - and a busy road at that. People line up to get their pic walking across, much to the displeasure of the local traffic. Guess the locals are used to it by now. We did the same thing. Everyone waits a turn, dodges traffic, and tries their best to get that iconic pic. Glad we did it though. There is a small shop attached to the studios that has memorabilia for sale. We took an Uber, did our thing, and Ubered back to town.

We were supposed to take a trip to London in the summer of 2020, and of course didn’t due to Covid. We were also interested in some Beatles sights, and a friend who’d been to London previously recommended the London Walks (easy to find with Google). I think there were two tours that featured Beatles places around London, and included the famous crosswalk. When we finally get to London, it’s a tour we’ll try to schedule. Might fit the needs of the OP.

😁
I'm relieved to know my posts are visible.

My late husband and I enjoyed LondonWalks and did quite a few. I don't recall which one included Abbey Road, but they are well worth your time.
