A couple of small museums CLOSED in London

Two small but very different museums have just closed in London, both after failing to come to an agreement on rents with their landlords.

Pollock's Toy Museum which used to be near Goodge Tube station for many years.

To quote a story

The museum is named after Benjamin Pollock who sold theatre toys and
prints from his shop on Hoxton Street. He died in 1937 and his
collection was found by Marguerite Fawdry in 1956, who bought it all
and opened Pollock's Toy Museum in Covent Garden before moving to its
current residence in 1969. Nowadays it is run by volunteers and the
descendants of Miss Fawdry.

All the toys are in storage.

The other museum is the Vagina museum in East London near Bethnal Green Tube. It had been open for 10 months and had already had 40,000 visitors. The museum was providing information and explanation about female genital health.

Neither museum has any immediate plans to reopen.

Oh, thanks for the update. The toy museum was actually on my list for April and I will be sorry not to see it. The other not so much.
