My wife and I are big Call the Midwife and Peaky Blinders fans and plan to visit the UK in Late Aug or Sept 2024. i am planning on touring the sites in London and Chatham for the Midwife, then making our way to Oxford to visit Bicester (family) and surroundings. Finally on to Birmingham and Manchester/Liverpool for the Peaky Blinders part of the tour. Would love to hear comments/suggestions on places to visit along the way that are a must see but maybe not related to the TV shows mentioned. Have not decided on Train/Self Drive at this point but any suggestions are definitely appreciated. Thanks in Advance.
All of your destinations are easily accessible by train. Chatham is an easy day trip from London by train. Bicester can be reached directly from London Marylebone in under an hour - no need to go through Oxford. London, Birmingham and Manchester are no great places to have a car and it’s not much fun driving between any of them unless you have plenty of time, which you haven’t.
