8 more sleeps!

Leaving next Friday and it doesn’t seem real yet. My son is in the process of buying a home and we’re gone the week before closing. All our mental energy has been on that, helping him navigate it all the first time, and he’s still in negotiations, but very close.

I think it will hit me middle of next week.

I’m really looking forward to London 2.0. We were there a year ago, fell in love with the city and can’t wait to get back and do more things, try different restaurants and pubs. Going to Richmond as our “out of the city” day this time and seeing the Ham House estate,

about Ham House, from the website:

The house is currently closed for conservation work and reopens on 14 Feb (the gardens, shop and café remain open). The whole property will close on 12 Feb for training and on 2 March for filming.

Lulu, I loved spending time in Richmond and visiting Ham House will be nice. I had a wonderful lunch at The Prince's Head, which was used for the exterior shots in Ted Lasso. The food was great and the service even better.

Have a wonderful and safe trip!

There is a nice little resale shop on the Green in Richmond, very near the twin phone boxes. Nice things at very reasonable prices. Google says it's called Mary's Living and Giving. My memory is that it's mainly women's clothing, shoes and handbags, one of which nearly went home with me.

Smiled reading your post about London 2.0

Favorite city on the planet. Always changing, always the same.

Do explore the neighborhoods.

If you get to Richmond consider a bit of a stroll to the Mitre. Great pizzas and the sweetest pub Dog, Rudi.

If the owner Chris is there be sure you say hello
for me.

If a walker and dog lover the Parkland Walk is lovely. I started in Finsbury Park and ambled to Crouch End. Had a great breakfast at the Blue Owl Cafe which is about a 5-10 minute stroll to the Crouch End Underground station.

Pubs to consider:
Blackfriars for the Art Deco
Citi of Yorke
The WB Yeats Irish Pub in Finsbury Park
The Haven Arms in Ealing
The Devonshire Arms near the Wallace Collection
The Palm Tree in Mile End Park
William The IV in Leyton

Have an enjoyable return to London!!!

My daughter and I are leaving on the 14th for a week in London, maybe we'll see you there! :D

We've been several times, so this time we're going to visit Mudchute Farm, a cat cafe and a dog cafe, and do some shopping. Also dragging her to Windsor Castle for one day. Also seeing a couple of shows. We're in love with London too!

Thanks everyone! I definitely want to go to that resale store, I’m actually a Poshmark reseller and love thrifted clothing (as well as new clothing, actually ALL clothing!).

We thought it would be fun to go stop by the Ted Lasso pub, but I’ll definitely make nite of these others. We like bar/restaurant hopping on vacations. Too many to just choose one. Cocktails at one, dinner at another, ending with a 3rd for dessert and after dinner drinks.
