6 days in London

My husband and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in London this month. We want to relax but take in lots of history (especially WWII), including day trips as possible. I appreciate any itinerary hints you can share.

First, buy a copy of the RS London Guidebook. An absolute must for first timers. Chock full of pertinent, useful info. GREAT reference guide. Makes getting around London a breeze.

Lots to see! I'm a military history buff and reall enjoyed the Imperial War Museum. Easily reached by underground then a 2 block walk. The Borough Market was a real treat, and they need our support after the recent horror. We felt perfectly safe. The Globe Theater and the Tate Modern are nearby. Our favorite day trips were to Windsor Castle and Kew Botanical Gardens.
