3-4 day walking tour of Cotswolds or Lake District?

I am a solo lady looking for a good walking tour with overnights in either the cotswolds or the Lake District. Has anyone used a goood company for this? Thanks!

I like HF Holidays, a British co-op with country houses in many areas of the U.K. They have a house in the Cotswolds and two in the Lake District. They have guided and self-guided packages, guided walking with sightseeing and Discovery Tours (mostly sightseeing), and also special interest tours. They have mostly 3, 4 or 7-night tours. Guests eat breakfast and dinner at the house and get a packed lunch for the walking day. Guests are usually mostly British, and very welcoming. You don't have to be a member to sign up for a holiday, but non-members pay 30 pounds more.

Hi Hillary -

As regards the Cotswolds, Cotswolds Walks and Contours are the oft mentioned companies that have been used (other companies are available) by forum members in the past. I did a quick search on ‘guided group holidays in the lake district’ and got several promising results, including HF Holidays as mentioned above. However there is an element of ‘caveat emptor’ about this as I live close enough to the Lakes to sort my own accommodation and hikes out, so in that regard I’ve never used any of the companies mentioned.

I’d always go with the Lakes over the Cotswolds, but then again that’s my subjective and admittedly biased viewpoint. Hope you get somewhere to your satisfaction whichever part of the country it’s in!
