Hello fellow travelers,
I will be in Nottingham, England, for two nights in early September this year.
Does anyone have any suggestions for (1) moderately priced hotels or B&B's (using the RS benchmark of 80-110 pounds/night) and
(2) good restaurants in the area.
Many thanks for your input!
The Premier Inn on Maid Marion Way will probably be in budget and is close to some good Indian restaurants and many others. Lace Market Hotel may be worth checking rates. Good pub food at the Keans Head around the corner but again loads of restaurant choices in nearby Hockley including Sexy Mama Love Spaghetti.
If you don’t like the rates try the Premier Inn at Castle Marina.
I do think those rates are very out of date. There’s been huge inflation in the hotel sector. I’m shocked by how much I’ve had to pay for some short leisure stays this year.
PI rates were more or less in range today for a Friday in September. Saturday is a challenge.
What are your thoughts on doing the tour of Newstead Abbey to see Byron's home?
