2 for 1 deal for Tower of London

We will be visiting the Tower on Oct 26th. We will take Heathrow Express to Paddington Station and will buy one-day travel card from Paddington. I am confused about the rules. Please help with the following:
1) Does the One-day travel card qualify for 2 for 1 deal ?
2) To print vouchers from the website do I need to "Sign up" ?
3) anything else I should be aware of ?

Many thanks.

I did have to sign up to print my travel vouchers. The one day travel card will work AS LONG AS IT IS PURCHASED AT A TRAIN STATION so that it has the little rail logo on it. We purchased ours every morning at Victoria station. It had the little rail logo and we used our 2 for 1 vouchers at Kensington Palace, Tower of London and Chruchill War Rooms. I asked at the train station before we purchased the first day just to be sure. Also, both people were required to show their one day travel cards when we bought tickets. One other thing: the voucher is good for 2 adult fares. It won't work if you try to take advantage of any other discounts (for example, my sister is 60 and she asked about the senior discount....she had to do one or the other, not both. Obviously, the 2 for 1 was a much better deal.) As for printing the vouchers...The 2nd day we bought the card the man who sold it to us asked if we were seeing any attractions. I said we had our 2 for 1 vouchers. "You came prepared" he said. I think he might of been able to give us a voucher, but I would not have wanted to count on it.

Are you planning to visit the Tower of London the same day you arrive from overseas at Heathrow?

Two considerations about that - the smallest crowds are earliest in the day; by the time you have landed, cleared Border Control and found your bags, found the Heathrow Express (Heathrow Connect is cheaper and only a little slower - I hope you are staying near Paddington or the Underground may be more convenient), checked in/dropped bags, and got all the way across central London to the Tower much of the morning may be gone. And you may be jetlagged and unable to fully enjoy such a big, impressive, and expensive piece of history.

When you go to buy your paper Travelcard at Paddington make sure that it is from the rail booking office not the Underground booking office.

If there are just two of you, buy the duo saver for the Heathrow Express online, which makes the round trip £25 each (presuming you are going back at some stage).

Note that it is no quicker on the journey overall to take the Heathrow Express than to take the underground. Piccadilly to Hammersmith, District to Tower Hill. You could then buy your national rail ticket from nearby Fenchurch Street Station. The cash fare on the underground would be a lot less than the HEX.

(You may have some other reason for going via Paddington, but you haven't mentioned it.)

Please pardon me as I am a newbie and this is my first trip going to London.
So I will be arriving with my travel partner on Nov 8 in Heathrow airport at noon, we plan to check in to hotel and put our luggage first.
What is the duo saver Heathrow Express and how to get it? but after London we will go to Paris, not going back to Heathrow airport, is it still worth it?
And how to get 2 for 1 voucher? is it only for Tower of London?

Thanks a lot!

Thank you everyone on this thread for help with the questions. One-day travel card from National Rail was great help as we could use 2 for 1 for special exhibits in most of the museums and of course, the Crown Jewels. Also, Heathrow express duo saver was another very helpful suggestion. We had a real good time in London. Ending was unforgettable as we witnessed three generations of the Royal family going back to Palace from Remembrance Day celebrations.
