We will be spending two days in Manchester. We intend on taking in a football match and taking a tour of old Trafford.
Is there any other suggestions on what to do in Manchester?

Liverpool isn't too far away.
National Trust have some special properties in the area, and the Royal Horticultural Society have a very famous garden, but you don't say when you will be going nor if you will have a car, so it is difficult to know what to suggest.

Thanks for the quick reply. We will not have access to a car and we will be there Sept 20th for the full day.
