London in November

On our up coming trip we might have around 5 days in late November for London provided there are more pros than cons. We have a second trip planned involving the U.K. I'd love to hit London twice if we could. Any votes for November? Thanks, Scott

Certainly you will find travelers who have gone to London in late November.
The amount of daylight will be much less, but since most sights in London close before 6pm anyway, the short amount of daylight doesn't limit your sight-seeing time as much as it would if you were, say, on a driving trip on the Continent.
Of course the average weather in London in late November is something else to consider.
There are several regular contributors here who live in London or elsewhere in the UK and will be able to give you a better feel for likely conditions in late November.

It's there, same as every other month.

I was there for a couple of weeks around Thanksgiving either the last one or the one prior. Everything's still there.

How about a couple of specific questions?

In response to your query "any votes for November," the answer is yes. What pros and cons are you looking for? Cheaper accommodations? Airfares? Weather? Have been at least 6 times in November. Love it. Just know it starts getting dark around 4pm and deal with it. Theatre is still theatre. Museums are still free. Pubs are still pubs. Weather is weather, unpredictable. Crowds will be a tad smaller but still there. It's London. Who ever needs an excuse to go?!?

I go around Thanksgiving every year. LOVE the Christmas lights and windows. Sometimes the trees are still in gorgeous color. And if the weather is spectacular, and sometimes it is, I'm off on day trips to places such as Castle Combe or Lavenham. The low autumn light on stone or multi-colored buildings makes for fantastic photos.

Several years ago we were in London the week following Thanksgiving. It was delightful.....Christmas/Advent concerts, beautiful lights, mince pies, etc. Yes, the weather was a bit cool and the wind was terrific. I'd go back in a minute at that time of year!
