My wife and I are going to head to London for an NFL game on Sunday, October 11th, and likely will head over early for a nice vacation on or about October 1st. We've been to London before briefly and seen several of the main highlights but in total we spent 2 days or so there.
My question is should we just spend 10 full days in London and explore primarily the city? Or home base in London and see things there but also do some day trips to close by areas like Bath, Dover, The Cotswolds, etc? Or should we split it up and spend half the trip in London but the other half elsewhere in the kingdom as a home base?
We love castles, history, light to moderate hiking, scenery, architecture, culture, and just experiencing towns and cities.
Thanks everyone.
