Has anyone any experience with the Hedley House Hotel in York? It's 'listed' on the RS map for York accommodation, but is not reviewed in the book - ?
Family group of three, wanting triple for two nights at a $$ price.
The St Raphael across the road is well reviewed in RS but only has doubles - not sure the price diff for two rooms is worthwhile, tho it looks lovely. Anyone?
I stayed at the Hedley in Oct 2015 and found it to be satisfactory, the staff
was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was included.
It is conveniently located just outside the city wall and once inside the wall near the Minister Church. I'd stay there again if I were inclined to visit York again.

I stayed at the St Raphael a few years ago and would book again. Lovely rooms and the owner was very friendly and helpful. A good breakfast. The rooms were well appointed, quiet residential neighborhood.
You have probably booked already, but last September i stayed at a good hotel- the Wheatlands. Nice reasonably priced Italian restaurant nearby and carpark as well.
