We were returning from Scotland and needed one night in hotel before flying out from Heathrow. I wanted to be near Paddington because I can take the Elizabeth line direct to Heathrow. Found the wilde aparthotel in a very interesting neighborhood with a canal and lots of restaurants and literally a 5-minute walk to Paddington station. Wilde aparthotels have kitchen facilities and you can get a studio or a one bedroom. They are very much "not"atmospheric. The hotel was in a high rise but breakfast was included and it really fit our needs perfectly. We had a wonderful dinner outside next to the canal and it was a great last night in London.
