Which Hilton in London

Hello,
I have some free night awards to use for Hilton Hotels for 3 nights the first week of May. I've narrowed it down to the Park Lane, Bankside, or Waldorf. Anyone have an opinion on accommodations,, location, etc. Since our time is short we plan to travel primarily along the Thames from Churchill war rooms to the Tower of London with stops along the way.

I've seen good reviews of the Bankside but some negative comments on the location. Thoughts.....

Thanks
Greg

Hi Greg, in terms of location, I would pick the Waldorf as it’s close to lots of iconic attractions/museums/theaters. The Bankside location is a bit away from the action, especially if you want to walk out of your hotel and be wowed that you’re in London. Park Lane would be my second choice as it is closer to Buckingham Palace and St. James’s Park.

Another vote for the Waldorf. Everything Mary said. Plus a variety of London buses run nearby. The Number 15 bus route runs east and west along the nearby Strand/Fleet Street.
The #15 takes you to the Tower of London going to the east; and to Trafalgar Square/Charing Cross station going west, as well as stopping at St. Paul's Cathedral.
Plus, the Waldorf has an indoor pool, if you care about that.
Really nice hotel.
It's also an easy walk to a variety of restaurants in Covent Garden.
A great location.

I vote for the Curio Lost Property which is directly across from St Pauls. Close to everything (including the Millennium Bridge), lots of dining and transit options. It's a quirky little property, has a very nice buffet breakfast. If you're in Hilton Honors you get benefits as well.

Thank you all for your comments. I'm leaning towards the Waldorf but will take a look at the Curio property.

Thanks again

We enjoyed a stay at Bankside, very modern and comfortable, good Executive Lounge. We walked to the Blackfriars tube stop often; To see London you are always going to be taking transit, so hotel location is not critical. In any case, Tate Modern and The Shard happened to be important stops for us. We happened to use Waterloo Station for a commuter train, as well.

phred, thanks for mentioning the Curio Lost Property hotel. I did a search to have a look at it and I'm glad that I did. Full name:
Lost Property St Paul's London-Curio Collection by Hilton:

3-5 Ludgate Hill.In sight of St Paul's Cathedral, Walk 15 minutes across the Millennium Bridge to visit Tate Modern Art Gallery, Shakespeare’s Globe theater, or Borough Market.

After looking at its location on a Google map, I'll be staying here next trip to London. Great location. And the #15 London bus comes right by the hotel and St. Paul's.

The other easy option for traveling from here is to walk down to Blackfriars Pier and catch the Uber/Thames Clipper boat to travel up or down the Thames. You can take the boat from Blackfriars Pier east to the Tower of London (Tower Pier) or onward to Greenwich. You can take the boat west to get to Westminster area for the Abbey or Churchill War Rooms.

To the OP (Greg), full disclosure, I have not stayed at this hotel, but it sure looks good; good location; reviews are good on Trip Advisor and other sites.
