we are planning a trip to England in May which includes five days in London. I have MS and and use both power and Manual Wheelchairs. I am trying to locate a wheelchair accessible hotel in London, preferably in a central location.
Booking.com has a filter for wheelchair accessible. Add a filter for your budget, and perhaps location, and you should find multiple choices
I would not recommend booking via Booking.com, I would use that to figure out what your hotel options are, and then I would reach out to the hotel directly to make sure they can meet your specific needs.
The hotel I stayed in last time I was in London I had handicapped accessible rooms, but a flight of stairs between the street and check-in.
my wife is disabled and not only do I check the hotels but also the area around. As I am sure you know, not all pavements (sidewalks) are created equal.
Once I'd found somewhere I'd want to talk to the hotel. Watch for steps, stairs, stair lifts (usually too small, nobody nearby to operate it), unpowered fire doors, between areas of the hotel even if the room is an accessible room.
It is worth considering how you will get around. Many tube stations are NOT accessible, some are. All buses are. Black cabs are required to be, minicabs are not.
May is a lovely time to be in London.
