VisitApartmentsLondon.co.uk (the independent traveler) reference

Hi everyone,
We are looking for an 2B/2BR apartment in London for 7 nights in mid September before we attend a family wedding. I have looked at multiple websites recommended in RS London guidebook. One of his "other options" included visitapartmentslondon.co.uk and has some apartments in the Mayfair area of central London. They didn't have the one apartment I wanted but are going to check and send me some other choices in our price range. They are family run, have been in business since the early 80's and have been very prompt in their replies. Does anyone have any experience with the one I am referring to or any of the other RS suggested options in the central London area?

Sorry, I have never heard of them, but whoever you book with, make sure that your booking is refundable. The latest U.K. government guidance is that social distancing is likely to be in place for 6 months, which, unfortunately, probably means that your trip won’t be happening.

If your trip does end up happening, look at London Perfect. We have rented apartments from them twice, in Chelsea and Kensington. Excellent experiences. As mentioned above, be careful with deposits at this difficult time.

Thank you Jennifer and Suki! I have corresponded via email with the rental agent several times and had very quick and frank replies. It seems many may be reluctant to rent at the moment and if I do find one in the area I prefer, will make sure it has a cancellation policy that is acceptable. I have used Paris Perfect and was very happy so I will check into London Perfect. Also going to take another look at londonconnection.com.

I just received an e-mail notice from London Connections that they have filed for dissolution. So, unfortunately, they are no longer an option.

Thank you Suki. I have decided to look and not book for the present. There is so much uncertainty in the months ahead everywhere. Some day we will be able to travel but finding it hard to have the "excited frame of mind" for planning a trip at this time. I have some good suggestions from you when that time comes and thank you all very much!
