Would like to take a daytrip to Bath during our upcoming week in London. Sadly, the one day London Walks offers this tour is on Thursday (our arrival day) and we arrive at 10:00 BST so too late for the tour (no less jetlag). Any other suggestions for tour companies?
Getting to Bath on your own is easy. Buy a train ticket and take a train from Paddington Station. The train to Bath probably has Bristol as its final destination. Ask. Once in Bath, there are a couple of double-deck tours of the town.
Swan is correct-it's very easy to get to Bath by train from London. When we went, we also connected with a free (!) guided walk about the town given by one of the volunteers. Here's a link I just found: http://visitbath.co.uk/travel-and-maps/explore-the-area/mayor-of-bath-honorary-guides-p43001. I'm not very tech savvy so you'll probably have to copy/paste. It was a well done walking tour presented by an enthusiastic long time resident of the city. Just be sure your train will get you there in time to meet your guide at the appointed place! (I see you won't have to cut/paste!!)
viator dot com offers a Bath tour that we really enjoyed!
