The Jugged Hare Pub, Pimlico area of London

Rick recommends and so do we. Very good pub in the Pimlico area. We ate there in May 2017. Traditional Sunday roast, plus regular pub grub. We enjoyed it very much and the prices were very reasonable.

Thanks for sharing. Going to London later this year and am on the lookout for good pubs with good food.

I have to say that we've eaten in many of Rick's recommended pubs over the last 14 years, and we have enjoyed all of them. You don't need to go out of your way just to get to this particular one, but if you're in Pimlico it is a great choice. We always ask for the local beer and are hardly ever disappointed. My husband gets a pint and I get a half-pint. It is the perfect choice for us!

We were there twice last Fall as we were staying just around the corner. We like that area for our London visits.

We were there in April and food was great. We had a sampler platter that included 2 different meat pies and 3 different beers. Nice atmosphere and good service.

Usually, Rick's recommendations are spot on. However, I was very disappointed in the Jugged Hare. The food was tasteless and flat, the service spotty and overall, not a good experience.

I am always suspicious of first time posters who post very negative reviews. We were there twice last Fall and while I would not give it 5 stars it was above average and good enough that we went back for the second time in the same trip. That is unusual for us.

I can assure you that I am a legitimate person and I did go the Jugged Hare. I was extremely disappointed. Glad that you had a better experience that I did.
