I’m looking for a hotel for 3 nights next summer in Oxford. The Royal Oxford Hotel seems to be in a good spot for easy access to the train and coach. I did a forum search and the most recent review was 14 years ago. Has anyone stayed recently, or have any comparable recommendations?

If you don't get any replies here, you could check the rating and reviews on Booking dot com. Only people who have stayed somewhere can leave a review there.
LIZinPA - thanks for the tip. I usually get my hotel recommendations from the forum, and only book directly with the hotel so I forget about checking Booking.
The reviews look good and the location is perfect, so it looks like I found a hotel in Oxford.
I’m booked for 3 nights next June. I’ll report back with a review.

We’re staying there in September Stacie. I will let you know when we get back what we thought. They have been very good about communicating with me when I emailed about a possible early arrival. They also have a family room that sleeps three, so we are happy about that arrangement.

Stayed there two years ago. Clean, close to everything, good breakfast and price was right for the time. I would recommend.
Les- thanks for your reply. I’m glad to hear about its cleanliness and good breakfast. The price I paid for 3 nights in June was definitely reasonable, and the location looks great. I’m looking forward to my first trip to Oxford.
