Pentre Felin: Wonderful B&B in North Wales near Conwy

This is a former mill built in the 1600's; the previous owner renovated it around the original millstone and some of the machinery, and created a holiday rental. Kerrie, the cheerful and friendly proprietor, has been renting it from him for about 18 months, and hoping to buy it outright. It's absolutely gorgeous, spotless, and comfortable! The surrounding countryside is beautiful and peaceful, yet close to town. The famous Bodnant Gardens are a couple of miles away, well worth a tour.

Kerrie will meet you with tea and homemade scones, and give you great advice on what to see in the area. There is a lovely and comfortable lounge area on the second floor with a wood-burning stove and a big screen TV, with lots of videos available. We were there on a rainy, cool day, and she lit the fire for us and provided wine glasses for the wine we'd brought back.

Also, Kerrie is a great cook, and will cook an evening meal for you at a very reasonable price. We had a fantastic lamb hot-pot and homemade berry crumble. We are gluten-free, but Kerrie had all the ingredients and careful knowledge of avoiding cross-contamination, and the food was wonderful.

I seriously hope R.S. gets somebody out there soon to check it out; Pentre Felin needs to be in the guidebook.

I seriously hope R.S. gets somebody . . .

........to make the nations in the review category match the nations in the destinations category.

Not that England and Wales are nations, but apparently that's never going to get fixed.
