Parade Hotel, Bath

I’ve just got back from a minibreak in Bath and I stayed at a lovely hotel called The Parade Hotel: https://paradehotelbath.com/

I’m normally a Premier Inn kind of person, but got a good deal on this hotel - I paid £420 for three nights in a small double (not bad for Bath!) but got upgraded to a large double with a sofa and views of Bath Abbey.

It’s in a row of Georgian houses right near the centre. No parking, but they suggest parking in the secure long stay Bath Cricket Club car park which is about five minutes’ walk away and costs £24 for 24 hours - fairly typical for Bath.

The hotel is extremely comfortable and very convenient for all the sights, restaurants, tour buses - everything. The staff are amazingly helpful and chatty. Really nice warm conversations with the reception team, and nothing was too much trouble. There’s no lift as it’s such an old building - my room was on the third floor, and I did regret not changing it as I’m not quite in full health. They did offer - but it was such a lovely room that I kept it.

Breakfast is continental but really good quality - even the butter was noticeably good. Things like overnight oats, green smoothies, smoked salmon, charcuterie, fresh fruit and really good bread.

There is a spa too but I didn’t make use of it.

Anyway, it struck me as a hotel that a lot of you would love: it felt classy but very friendly.

Thanks for the recommendations. How lovely to go to Bath on a minibreak! It sounds like a hotel that we would enjoy. I don't know if I'll ever get to Bath again though. There are so many places in the UK I haven't been yet.
