We just spent two nights and it was very nice. An short and easy walk from the train station and into town. The room was comfortable, slippers and robes and toiletries provided. The hosts were gracious and friendly. The breakfasts were extraordinary...several options, huge portions, varied menus and all delicious. They offered a buffet with 6 varieties of juices alone and yoghurts and muesli and varied jams, toaster, breads to "hold you over" until the hot breakfast arrived. They held our luggage until we left. The walk to and from town is through a beautiful city park. A very nice stay in lovely and historic York.
