Motel One London-Tower Hill

Anyone familiar with this property? It looks very nice online and price is reasonable. I believer it is a newer/newish hotel. Thinking of booking there for 4 nights in October. Would appreciate any reviews. Thanks!

I haven't stayed in one in London but I stayed in Motel One in Edinburgh. It's a German chain. It says motel but I would say it's a hotel. It was on the level with Rick Steves recommended Jury Inn but substantially cheaper. I would consider accommodation not luxurious but certainly adequate for the price.

Their prices are good and cheap- around $160-$170 when you'll be there. I think it is fine if you don't expect a lot. They have no phones in the rooms and the breakfast is pricey considering they serve no hot cooked food but there are plenty of nearby spots to get food. Transport is no problem- you are in walking distance to three tube locations.

Thank you both so much for the info! I appreciate it very much.

The hotel sounds like just what I'm looking for - lots of "frills" aren't necessary for me, just a reasonable price, clean with a comfortable bed and access to transportation and various food options nearby. I'd rather spend my travel dollars on seeing sights and shopping and sampling good local restaurants than lots of extras in a hotel room.

I stayed at the Motel One in Munich, and was very pleased. Granted, it is about the size of a ship's stateroom so it is fine for one person but would be probably cramped for two. But the location was superb, it was very clean and new and there was a nice breakfast buffet. If you are looking for a no-frills option, I would recommend.

Thank you Todd. Since I'm going solo on this trip, a small hotel room will not be a problem at all.

I have not stayed there. Experience is with Jurys Inn, Dublin, which I found to be an excellent value-location-breakfast and other freebies for the cost.

Check out Ibis London City on Commercial Street. It gets good reviews on TA. I have it on my London list to follow.
Internet sites are offering rooms at $158 for October.

Ibis website says 91 pounds so that's $141, but when I entered October dates the price went higher to 115-120 pounds.

Weekend and week day prices are different.
