Manor House Stays in Cotswolds?

We were in Castle Combe a few years ago and had a marvelous stay at the Manor House there. This time we will be further north in The Cotswolds and would like to find a similar type of lodging. Recommendations?

There are several I can think of off hand. You might try looking at Ricks books on England for a few, The problem with some , however, and it may be a personal thing for me is many of the beautiful hotels have been modernized inside. I looked for a place to stay that retained it's character so opted for another. Use Trip advisor and Ricks books to help guide you.

Here is one with an old building with modern interior

We opted for Snowshill Estate and that area of Cotswalds is gorgeous. There is a manor house there, along with a a pub, and church it is VERY charming. Jo the person who runs the farm is a gem, one of the nicest hostesses we have ever had. It is a bit off the beaten track but worth it! 5 star reviews on TA,
