Luna and Simone Hotel, London

We just returned from a five night stay. About halfway between Victoria Station and Pimlico tube stop...we tended toward Pimlico, less hassle. The number 24 bus was handy and exactly opposite the front door. The room was well maintained every day and was fine enough for our needs. Breakfast is included, and the hosts were friendly and fun. I booked many, many months ago directly with the hotel. I read reviews so requested a room with few steps; we were shown to room 4 about 8 stairs away...listening to others outdoing each other during breakfast ( " We climbed 82 stairs", "Shucks, that's nothing...we do 96" ) gave us no small amount of solace. After I had arranged and deposited on the reservation, I emailed them that I read a poster describe a 10% Rick Steves discount. It was promptly applied to my bill and reconfirmed with an immediate email response. They arranged a cab to Heathrow for our 6:00 AM departure for £47 for the two of us, and packed some fruit and brioches with jam to take away. A very nice stay, friendly, comfortable and convenient.

Thanks for posting Denny. We will be staying at Luna Simone on our upcoming trip this fall. One question, will I be able to get cereal for breakfast? I don't think I could do a full English Breakfast for 10 days.

Cereal was available on the menu but I don't know what is was....maybe muesli? I believe i saw some of that. Some folks had fruit, yoghurt. I ended up with a scrambled or boiled egg and toast eventually. I'm sure you'll find many choices. Have fun.

Great news as we are staying here for 2 nights in October. I was considering public transport to LHR for our return trip home but a taxi sounds a lot easier. Something to consider!
