London House Hotel

We stayed here for 3 nights in July 2023 before flying home via Heathrow. I highly recommend it. It's in a quiet neighborhood close to the Bayswater tube station with bakeries and shops nearby. We even walked to Hyde Park one morning and to Notting Hill for dinner. It was reasonable at about $250/night. Room was a little small but it was just for sleeping but it had a coffee maker and coffee in the room. It overlooked a beautiful park. The morning of our flight, we walked to Paddington station, took about 15 minutes and then got on the Heathrow Express train which took about 20 minutes to the airport.

Does the hotel have an elevator? I went on their website and there’s no mention of one. They also require payment upon booking a room, non-refundable. I’m thinking of a December visit… I don’t want to commit this far in advance. I will keep it on my radar.

You can make cancellable reservations at that hotel on booking.com. I don't know how the rates compare.

Stayed there on two different occasions. Hotel is in great location, quiet and close to two tube stations. As i recall, there is an elevator.

There IS an elevator. We booked through Expedia and I think we could cancel.

Is this the property in Kensington Gardens Square? The hotel website did seem to give the option to reserve now and pay upon arrival - maybe I'm missing something?

Yes it’s on Kensington Gardens square, a nice little park. Our room overlooked the park. It was nice!

Been staying at London House Hotel this past week. It's very comfortable, staff are friendly. The lift works well. The location is close to three Tube stations, not too far a walk from Paddington Station. Plenty of great restaurants close by representing almost every cuisine one would want. Portobello Road Market is a 15 minute walk away.

Of note: there is construction happening on the same block (hotel on the high street having a full-on renovation) so there is some construction noise evident in courtyard-facing (read: rear) rooms. It's nothing out of the ordinary for a city but something to be aware of as of February 2024, during Monday thru Saturday daytime work hours.
