I will be visiting London and focusing on the West End Theater and enjoying a number of plays. Can someone recommend a hotel that in convenient (walking/tube access)? I prefer smaller boutique hotels but am open to other suggestions. Thanks!
Page 8, Trafalgar Square. Stayed five nights last month, highly recommend. Two tube stops nearby.
Thank you--what is the name of the hotel?
Sorry! Now I understand :-)
Radison in Seven Dials (I think that was the name) was good. It is on a small scale with great breakfasts. We walked to the West End for all our plays two years ago. Very near the tube.
I just stayed at Thistle Piccadilly Hotel last month and found it be convenient (just at the edge of Leicester Sq), relatively quiet, very clean and comfortable, and helpful staff. It wasn't crazy pricey either and it's not very big, and it was easy to walk to all the West End theaters. It's also close to the Trafalgar and Piccadilly tube stations. I've also stayed at Premier Inn at Leicester Square before but the rooms are smaller and pretty basic - the Thistle was a better choice for not much of a price difference.
