Locke at Broken Wharf, London—-discount code for spring

I and several other forum members like this modern Aparthotel right on the Thames near St. Paul’s and the Millennium Bridge. I see they are offering a Black Friday special of 30% off for members (free to join), for stays through 30 April.

So if your plans for spring include London, you might take a look.

Funny you mention that, I saw this hotel on a morning walkabout and thought what a poor location right on a very busy multi-lane street. I had to take several staircases and footbridges to get back up to St Pauls. It is indeed extremely close to the Millennium Bridge, although it appeared you'd have to walk up to walk over.

On the other hand, I also saw two hotels right next to Blackfriars station that, while also in busy locations, were a short walk to many options.

Also saw a hotel not too far from the Broken called the Leonardo which was well located, as well as the Hilton Curio Lost Property directly across from the cathedral.

Are you sure you are talking about the same place? The back of the hotel may be on a busy street, but the front and entrance face the riverfront path. I don’t think there is even any access into the hotel from that street. And I doubt any rooms overlook it, but we have only stayed in river view rooms so I can’t be sure.

To reach St. Paul’s from the hotel lobby, you walk out the front door and take the pedestrian path along the river toward the Millennium Bridge, 1/2 block, and turn right instead of left onto the bridge. There is a pedestrian path right to St. Paul’s, although you must cross one street. Yes, there are some stairs involved.

Seems like phred went along the backside of the hotel along Upper Thames St. and a couple parallel streets. There is an elevated pedestrian walkway along there that takes pedestrians up to Queen Victoria St.

The front of Broken-Wharf is on the river along the pedestrian pathway that is Paul's Walk. From Paul's Walk there are stairs right up to Millennium Bridge and the big wide grand pedestrian walkway that is Peter's Hill that goes right up to St Paul's. Did you miss Peter's Hill?

The location is great, with 5 tube stations, several bus stops, and 4 grocery stores all within a half mile walk and Borough Market at 0.7. Lively during the day and quiet at night.

That is what I thought too. I am very fussy about location, and would not enjoy or recommend a place with a main entrance on a street like that (although it did not seem all that busy whenever we did walk that way).

Awe, we just miss it! We arrive four days after the sale vailidity dates. However, we got what I thought was a very good rate (for London), so I'm happy. Very much looking forward to it.
