I am looking for a larger hotel room for myself and 18 year old daughter. We will be in London 7 nights so the extra space is important so we don’t trip over our luggage and each other, and cause aggravation! I’d also prefer a kitchenette: a microwave and fridge for example rather than just a kettle. We can do twin beds or an extra large king bed to share and we’ve don’t that before. Budget is about AUD$3500/GBP£1800/USD$2500
1) The larger renovated rooms at Melia White House look ok. This is not the apartments or smaller hotel rooms which I don’t think have been renovated. Has anyone stayed in these renovated rooms? What is The Level like and is it worth it? It’s looks close to the tube station. Is that correct?
2) I’ve also looked at Citadines Holborn-Covent Garden. However it seems many reviews were before the recent renovations. The rooms are also larger here. Has anyone stayed recently and can comment on the renovated rooms? Negative comments do seem to be mainly about staff, check-in and lifts. Also what is the tube station access like?
3) I’ve looked at apartments on Greek Street and Carnaby Street. Should I expect these to be ridiculously noisy and basically exclude these locations?
4) Lastly-given the requirements about, any ideas for hotels/apartments/aparthotels/etc in the SoHo /Covent/Garden/Marylebone/near British Museum
Thank you!
