Hotel suggestions - 3 days in London with family

We will be traveling to London for 3 days in August. We are trying not to jam too much in but we want to make the trip enjoyable. At this point, we have decided to visit the Globe, Westminster Abbey, take the Thames River Cruise and maybe see a couple of theater plays. We will be flying into Heathrow airport and want to our hotel to be as central as possible since this is our first time in London. Our desire is to pay about $150 or less for the hotel. Is this possible? Does anyone have any hotel suggestions?

hey hey Lisa
Best to put this under the Q & A forum. This is for reviews posters have been to. How many people, ages of family and dates. Your budget is very low, think in pounds, you’re in high season and late with booking within central areas for that price. You may need 2 rooms, family/quad space and how many can fit in room which are smaller in Europe, beds, bathrooms, all people have to be counted for. Good luck and happy vacation

You have left it very late to get the best hotel prices and your budget is very low for central London.

Look at the Premier Inn chain as they have a number of family rooms, which is presumably what you need? They are far more expensive if you include a Saturday night, whilst Sunday nights are generally cheaper. I have done a dummy booking for 3 nights in August and they are showing £350-400 total.

Well it is late.. so likely booked.. but if you can get the triple room at Celtic Hotel ( near Russell Square) it will fit your budget.. and includes a substantial made to order breakfast.. Great location too. Only downside is hotel does not have AC.. weve only stayed there in May and early June .. so it hasnt been an issue .. but this next week london is expecting hot weather.. so it can happen.

Lisa consider Aster House for your accommodation in London. It fits around your budget. The Bed and Breakfast is in south Kensington London and just 3 minutes away from the nearest train station (Tube).

Aster House is nowhere close to being within their budget!

Unless we know what "with family" means it is hard to know what to say. $150 of some dollars (Australian, Canadian, US?) is low. £150 in British Pounds is still low.

Premier Inn Waterloo. Walking distance to the items you have mentioned. Near 3 tube lines.
