I have been to London a number of times, and will be going back in late October. In the past, I have walked around Hampstead Heath and was thinking how nice it would be to stay in that area. Looking at the map, I noticed only a few places to stay, and they were more of the youth hostel type of lodging. Does anyone know of any other lodging there? Thanks in advance.
Premier Inn doesn’t work?
About 10-15 minutes to the Hampstead overground station. Across from it is a path where you walk into the Heath.
I somehow missed Premier Inn. Thanks for noting it. I just checked, though, and there are some very bad recent reviews. So I guess I’m still looking.
The Bull and Last Pub rents rooms (I have not stayed there).

This may not work for you if you go to bed early.
Interesting idea. Thanks for the suggestion. It sure looks nice.
On TA the most recent PI review is for a stay last September when they were about to close for a refurb.
Maybe those reviews are out of context now.
I've stayed in several Premiere Inns and have found them consistently good. I don't know where you saw the reviews but you might want to check other review venues to see what they say.
Thanks to the last two posters for the dates re the PI rehab. I will check out other reviews.
JUST CHECKED. GOOD NEWS, it does look rehabbed. BAD NEWS no availability for my dates. Good place to keep in mind for next time.
Pam, you might consider checking AirBnB for a room in someone's house/apartment in Hampstead, looking for someone who is a super host. I don't usually use AirBnB, but I remember looking one time and finding a room in a lady's apartment that had tons of excellent reviews from people who had stayed there. I don't know if you would be comfortable with that, but I throw it out there as an idea.
I vaguely thought of that. I haven’t ever used Air BnB, but there was a time when I stayed in people’s homes and small guest houses, and that experience was mostly good. It would be nice to find a home to stay in. Thanks for the suggestion.
