My husband and I just returned from two weeks in Great Britain and highly recommend staying at the Plas Gwyn Guest House in Beddgelert (https://www.plas-gwyn.com/), which we found in our Rick Steve's Great Britain guide book. They honored the Rick Steve 10% discount, and what a value! Beddgelert is the perfect location if you want to see preserved rural charm and be close to amazing hiking. The room was basic but very clean and tidy, with a window out onto the running river. We slept well each night with the calming river sound. But the real highlight of Plas Gwyn was host Brian, who was an amazing, informative host. Brian really made our trip to Wales special. We also recommend the Prince Llewelyn next door for the best Beddgelert pub experience.
