Just returned from one night in the Cotswolds as a side trip while in London. Really enjoyed our stay at the Slaughters Country Inn in Lower Slaughter. Very charming, delicious dinner and breakfast. We had a 2 BR suite for the 5 of us and it worked out great. Lovely walk to Bourghton on Water and to Upper Slaughter. Highly recommend!
Glad to see your recommendation. We just booked a stay at the Slaughters Country Inn for September 2023.
I'm trying to decide if we should stay at Slaughters Country Inn for 2.5 days or go to London and do the day trip to Cotswolds. Any advice? Thank you
I think a day trip from London to the Cotswolds would be really hard to do. There's the train ride (maybe an hour-ish) and the cabs out there are hard to come by, you would need to make sure you had lined one up beforehand to get you from the train station then back for the London return. It would be very rushed for a day trip. I would stay the 2 nights and explore the Cotswolds.
