Central London Hotel with a 5 year old

My husband and I are taking our 5 year old to England in May. I'm looking for a family friendly hotel recommendation when we are in London. Thank you!

All hotels accept families.. what specifically would you be looking for to make them family friendly ( and yes I have had three kids .. lol ) ..

I think you would get a lot more recommendations if you stated your budget per night .. no one can really start suggesting places if we have no idea what you can afford.

Since you will need a triple .. and have a young child.. I would start by asking for a hotel with a decent sized triple for under ----- dollars or GBPs per night.. in a central area..

I stayed at a wonderful hotel a few years ago now.. its priced out of my range now.. but you may find it fine for your budget.
Rooms had mini kitchenettes.. just enough to make a coffee or heat up a snack ( no oven.. just a microwave) , a nespresso maker.. toaster , mini fridge etc.. great with a little one ) beds were lovely comfy with nice duvets.. and good larger ( for Europe ) modern bathroom with tub and shower ( all in one in my room but good sized.. a tub is nice with a tot ) ..

Nadler Hotel .. Kensington. you can easily walk to two grocers, two tube stations, and two museums.. one your child will likely love The Natural History Museum..

I'd recommend hotels in the Bayswater area and just south of Paddington Station for a couple of reasons:

  1. Lots of choices and good connections to public transport
  2. Easy access to Hyde Park and the Diana Memorial Playground
  3. Lots of family friendly restaurant choices in the area as lots of families live in this area.

We've stayed with children at the Westpoint Hotel near Paddington and the Hyde Park Hilton just across from the park. The Hilton is not my normal choice for a hotel when traveling for pleasure but I was able to use my Hilton Points for it and the location is great for the park and tube.
