Bath Holiday Properties

Mom and I just returned from a trip to Bath. We had reserved an Airbnb but unfortunately ended up needing to find accommodations quickly over a bank holiday, which was not the easiest thing to do. I came across Bath Holiday Properties on a Google search and fortunately they had a property available in our price range. We ended up with a lovely one bedroom flat in a Georgian property right on Pulteney Street Bridge in the best location possible for accessing the sites, as well as the train and bus stations. The flat had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The company even provides a welcome basket with breakfast items and a bottle of wine. This was such a nice treat after the poor Airbnb experience we had! I would not hesitate to rent a flat through this company again the next time we are in Bath. They have a number of properties to fit many different needs and price ranges.

Kristen! What a fun location! I’m curious as to which store front you were over? Did you have river views? I’ve stayed in 2 different hotels nearby and eaten in a couple of the restaurants on the bridge. Very convenient area.

Sorry things went south on your Air BnB rental. Are you able to elaborate on what happened?

Hi Pam! We were right over the Beercraft place and across from the little coffee shop at the end of the bridge. It was a great location! Thanks, Nigel, for referencing my other post. As a little more detail, the last review on the property was from December and the person noted a mildewy and musty smell that didn’t disappear even with the windows open. Because of my allergies and asthma, I was worried about this, but the place was a good deal and really looked charming. So I messaged the owner and explained my health issues and she assured me that she was using a new cleaning company and the problem was fixed. It turned out not to be true, unfortunately. I think the reason that she didn’t fuss about giving me a refund is that she didn’t tell me the truth and I had proof of our emails which I sent to Airbnb. In addition to the smell, the place just wasn’t clean and was completely unlike the photos posted! I didn’t write a review because she did give me a refund, but I do hope that no one finds themselves in the same situation that I did! Anyway, the silver lining was that we found this new company and were so delighted with the apartment! I would use them again without hesitation.

Forgot to add, we had a river views from the bedroom in the back and the bridge view from the front. Such a beautiful bridge, reminds me of the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, only not as hectic! And other than seagulls who started screeching at dawn each morning, it was very quiet! 🤣🤣 🐦
