Aster House London -- slow responses to booking enquiries?

Aster House is very much the sort of place we like, especially its local ownernership. I have though not been able to get a response to a booking enquiry, which I sent a week ago, and to be sure resent a few days ago. We're hoping to book a room in December.

Has anyone else found them especially slow to reply?

How did you contact them?

There website says to reserve by fax, phone or Whatsapp.

I would try using Whatsapp.

Editing to add this post I just came across. Looks like the last response had your experience.

I have stayed at Aster House maybe 6 times in recent years. Will stay there in about a month. My confirmation email was from [email protected]. I mention that just to be sure you sent your email to the correct email address.

For what it's worth, I know Rick Steves himself stays there.

If you don't receive an email reply in a day or so, I suggest calling Aster House.

As a fall back check out 63 Bayswater. Been staying there for decades. Last visit Fall of 2024.
15 minute stroll from Paddington Station. Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens across the road. 1/2 block to the Lancaster Gate Tube Station.

The Mitre Paddington just around the corner.

To be honest, many places may not be committing to reservation requests 11 months out. Yes, it would be nice to get acknowledgement at least, but sometimes, at smaller hotels, requests like these fall to the bottom of the "to-do" list.

Making a reservation is a bit more complex, but can be done by phone.

Making a Reservation
To proceed with making a reservation, please provide a valid credit card details i.e. name on card, card number, the expiry date, the 3 or 4 digit code on the back or the front of the card. To comply with UK regulations on data protection, please do not send your card details via email.
Credit card details can be provided by fax to +44 20 7584 4925 and by phone to +44 20 7581 5888.*
Alternatively: Please provide us with your contact number and we would be delighted to call you at an agreed time during our reservation office hours, London time 0800-2200 daily, to obtain the necessary card details.
