alternative london booking to VRBO/AirBnB/FLIPKEY

Wondering if anyone has a booking site for flats/apartments in London that are not VRBO/AirBnB/FlipKey. I know there are sites in the US for certain communities that some owners prefer to list their properties (i.e. Cape Cod) because the sites don't take huge fees the big names take, but rather charge a posting fee. Wondering if there are trustworthy sites anyone can recommend for the heart of London? We are traveling in December.

I have no idea about fee structure, but Coach House Rentals is a small booking company that we have used a couple of times, and were very happy with. I thought their prices were competitive, and they were very attentive, professional, and helpful.

My friend had a good experience with Coach House Rentals a few years ago. He rented an apartment located in Chelsea, I believe.

I'm also looking into a rental, for a couple of weeks next May or June. Expensive, no idea of fees agencies charge, but what can you do? There are a number of serviced apartment buildings: Marlin and Nell Gwynne appear to be the most reasonable in terms of price. A Place Like Home and Home From Home offer some nice apartments, almost all of which are out of my price range, and neither has instant pricing. Plum Guide has a very good website and a good selection. I'm still leaning towards two or three places on VRBO.

If you've never been to England, read up on bed sizes before booking an apartment.

I don't know about London specifically, but booking.com lists apartments in many cities. Some posters have reported that if the same apartment is available on booking and airbnb, it may be cheaper through booking.

We have had two excellent experiences renting through London Perfect, one an apartment, the other a Mews house. Recommend them highly.

Thank you all so much! Great info! I'd checked a few previously which were quite quite pricey, or noting in the area in looking to stay, but there are several you've all recommended that I hadn't heard of. Just the info I was looking for, will check those🤞
