Hotel Mrak is recommended by RS so I'm sure its nice. Anyone stayed there recently? Quietness, staff, location, ambiance, etc? Thanks. Ill be traveling there next month.

Yes, I have stayed there twice, once with the RS tour and then last September for several days on my own. We very much enjoyed our stay there. It is well located and relatively quiet but not "silent". Some good places to eat practically next door. Our rooms were very nice and the breakfast was good. They have a lovely vine covered patio and a very small bar at reception. The WiFi was good. They had just finished renovating some of the rooms of the hotel when we were there and I'm thinking that project should all be finished by now. The staff was helpful, friendly and very accommodating. When I return, I will stay here.

We stayed there for the RS Best of the Adriatic a few years ago. We also came early and booked it for our pre tour stay. It is everything Andi mentioned and only a few blocks from the river. A restaurant mentioned in the RS guide book is within a few doors and we had a supper as well as coffee and pastries there. We would not hesitate to stay at Hotel Mrak again and having been there before we would make it our preference.
